New to Maya, get started quickly
We get asked many times for tutorials or resources for someone new to Maya and as long as you know where to look, there are lots out there but it can be hard to filter out.
We have grabbed a few good starting videos from Autodesk to support you and give you a quick start into Maya and a few more specific to those first exploring rigging looking at Nodes and some customization tips.
After you watch through these videos and explore more of how Maya works, check out the other resources we have here for you on our free menu.

Hi new riggers: Stick with it. It gets better. 🙂
Good post. Every time I visit 3D forums I see tons of new users and students who are grappling with the basics. It is always great and fun to post advanced techniques, but there is a growing demand for the basics as well. And it is amazing how experts can use this software for years and still learn new tricks too.
And now even though there is a ton of information about rigging out there, it is likely even harder for someone new to know where to even begin!
