Grateful:
Here are the slides from my talk at GDC. None of it could have happened, the talk or me using Filmbox years ago and more with out the man, the legend the mega awesome Jason Parks. Thanks for all the work and effort wrangling us all together for the bootcamp and fitting me in to the packed schedule of great speakers.
And I wouldn’t have physically been there without everyone at Rigging Dojo for taking care of the trip, thanks Josh and Chad and our great community of mentors and students.
On with the Show!..er..um..Slides:
You can download the PDF here from the GDC Vault.
Note: Due to the difficulty of live demo during the time I had to present, I recorded detail videos walking through the tips on each slide. To get the videos you can contact me with Vault access proof (screen shot of you logged in to my talk,) and I will send you a download link.

Thanks for your reply, yeah am using the 2013 version at work and they dont seem to be wanting to switch, am realtively new to mobu, could you please give me a bit more details on how this could be done in story thanks in advance,
With story you can insert the current take to story and create a new override track. Make it accept keyframes, (key button) and then set the override track weight to 0, key frame over the rig, a new clip will be created along the override track and this will be the pose keys just like my layer example. You can then copy and paste them in to the maint timeline or just animate there depending on what your needs are.
This sounds like you are in an older version of MotionBulider this only works in 2014+
Otherwise you can do the exact same thing using Clips in story and adjust their weight.
Hi Brad, these are awesome hacks I just had a question about keying in a override layer, when I increse the weight to 100 after keying at 0 the control rig collapses in the center, do you know if there is some way to fiz this. Thanks.
Hi Brad, these are really awesome hacks, I just had a question, when I try the mix master, after keyin gin the the override layer at 0 and move the weight to 100 the control rig collapses in the center, is there a fix for that, thanks in advance.
